In fact, it is a good idea to compliment her when she is least expecting it! She is already experiencing <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nuawoman.com\/blog\/5-types-of-fatigue-you-should-know-about\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fatigue<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> due to the constant blood loss during her <\/span>menses<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Be there for her and let her know that it is alright!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol start=\"2\">\r\n<li>\r\n<h4><b> Avoid arguing about things that perhaps don\u2019t matter\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nuawoman.com\/blog\/feeling-blue-during-your-period-know-the-causes-solutions\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Period depression<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a real thing and arguments can make things more difficult for her. You can of course talk about things which concern you, or discuss issues that are important, but avoid arguments. She might not be in the space to do it and might even feel bad about it. <\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol start=\"3\">\r\n<li>\r\n<h4><b> Avoid commenting on her weight (actually not even outside a period!)<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Women may experience bloating during <\/span>mense<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s. In fact it is one of the most common <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nuawoman.com\/blog\/5-common-period-problems\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">symptoms<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of a period. This does not necessarily mean that the person is out of shape. But, whether she is bloated due to periods or not, it is <\/span><b>never okay to comment on her weight<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! <\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol start=\"4\">\r\n<li>\r\n<h4><b> Avoid snapping back or commenting on her periods\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Snapping at a woman or commenting on her <\/span>menses<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is definitely never right. It is irrational because a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nuawoman.com\/blog\/category\/menstruation\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">period<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a natural part of a woman\u2019s life and there can never be any reason for shaming her due to it. <\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol start=\"5\">\r\n<li>\r\n<h4><b> Avoid blaming her for things that are not in her control<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She might feel emotional or she might not. Her period is her personal experience and no one other than her can fathom what she is going through. If she isn\u2019t up to something, don\u2019t blame her for it. Talk to her, ask her what she feels, and let her be in control of her situation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nuawoman.com\/blog\/category\/menstruation\/periods-and-pms\/\">Periods <\/a>are normal, as normal as humans breathing oxygen. No woman should ever be called out for her periods.
