Myth: Sanitary pads need to be concealed

Have you ever gone to a chemist to buy sanitary pads? Have you wondered why the chemist usually wraps it in newspaper and then puts it into a black bag? 

Have you ever had to hide a sanitary pad in between things at home or at work? What about at school? 

Were you ever told to hide it or not talk about sanitary pads? 

In this day and age, we have so many options to choose from, ranging from sanitary pads all the way to discs and cups. In fact, there are several sanitary pad options available as well – from cotton to cloth, standard to customizable, fragrant to rash-free. 

We’ve understood the importance of sanitary pads and on most days, we are thankful for it, yet we’re still taught to conceal it. Let’s bust that myth right now!

If you are uncomfortable with carrying sanitary pads unconcealed, then it’s your right to decide to hide it away. But, for someone else to decide that for you is not acceptable.
