Everytime we were set to have a nice, warm bath during periods we were reminded by our elders not to wash our hair. It is widely believed that washing hair during periods can cause several vaginal infections, worsen period pain, and can even result in infertility. 

But, is there a connection between washing hair and periods?

A good warm shower, however, definitely helps with period cramps and helps you relax during menstruation

And it is perfectly safe to wash your hair on any day during your period cycle.
